Pickleball for Pups League Information & Structure
League Format
This is a ladder league. Brackets with eight or more players will be divided into multiple groups. Each player will play one game against every other player in their group. Rankings will be based on wins and point differential.
New Player Assessment
New players should arrive on Saturday morning at 8:45 AM for a skill assessment and placement into a bracket with similarly skilled players. To facilitate this process, intermediate and beginner-level games will be held Saturday mornings to help evaluate and integrate new participants into the league.
Weekly Schedule
Some brackets will be scheduled during the week. We are currently evaluating several indoor facilities for rental to accommodate these matches.
Bracket Participation
Players are welcome to participate in up to two brackets per week. It’s a great opportunity to improve, compete, and support a meaningful cause!
Court 1 Policy
The only penalty for missing a week is you may be manually bumped off Court 1(top court in each bracket) for the next game-day. Players missing three weeks in a row may be removed from the rankings.
League Growth & Progression
As the league expands, additional brackets will be created. This will allow players to progress through levels—like advancing in a video game—while facing new and varied competition. Top-performing players will move up the ladder, and those consistently at the top may be invited to compete in more advanced brackets as space allows. The season will conclude with playoffs and prizes for top performers.
